Apply for your .app, now in Sunrise
At long last, .app is being rolled out in the Sunrise phase. Domains can be registered during the Sunrise phase – from March 29 through May 1, 2018 – if you have a trademark registered with the TMCH.
If you do, .app domains can be registered for your trademark with priority during the Sunrise phase for just $19.84* for the first year.
On May 1, 2018, at 16:00 UTC (9:00 AM Pacific), .app will enter the Landrush phase. To register a .app domain between May 1 and 4, in the Landrush phase, you’ll need to contact our corporate services team. Then, between May 5 and May 8, 2018, regular, online registration will be available in the Landrush phase.
Finally, on May 8 at 16:00 UTC (9:00 AM Pacific Time), .app will enter the GoLive phase, when registrations of .app domains will be $23.29* per year.
Registrations of .app domains are open to all, with the only qualification being that whatever site you put up has to be protected by TLS/SSL (i.e. with HTTPS).
These domains are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so don’t delay. Even if you don’t have a trademark, you can still pre-register for a .app domain in the GoLive phase now and we’ll send the registration request to the registry as soon as it hits 16:00 UTC (9:00 AM Pacific) on May 8.

PS: There’s still time to register your trademark with the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH), which allows you to register your domain in the Sunrise p;hase. Of course, please don’t hesitate to contact our corporate services team if you have any questions.
