What is the Gandi Social Club?
The Gandi Social Club is Gandi’s major annual event. The goal of this meetup is to bring together representatives from various NGOs, associations, organizations, and schools related to the Gandi Supported Projects program. At this meeting, each representative has the opportunity to present on what they do, the problems they face, and the needs they have in order to create synergy between the different Gandi Supports projects.

Our Supported Projects program is a pillar of Gandi’s identity. For more than 15 years, we have been lending our support to different NGOs through their projects. At Gandi, we believe deeply that people are at the center of everything we do, and that’s why we’ve decided to go further. The Gandi Social Club is the golden opportunity to bring together schools and representatives from various associations related to Gandi in order to foster a kind of mutual aid across our network.
We organized this event in conjunction with our partner Pir Registry, the registry for .org domain names, a privileged domain ending for associations and NGOs.

What was new in the 2021 edition of the Gandi Social Club?
This year, the Gandi Social Club was for the first time broadcasted live on YouTube, for the general public — the perfect chance to share this important event for Gandi. Not only that, given the restriction on the number of attendees in place due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event was organized as a hybrid remote/in-person event with some of our partners present virtually.
The Gandi Social Club is also a moment to socialize more informally, each some food together, and talk about ways to collaborate on shared objectives.
This year, we enjoyed delicious South American specialties provided by La Cantina de Gloria.
And the COVID pandemic?
The Gandi Social Club is back this year after one year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For this year’s event, we took several precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our in-person attendees: restricted capacity, readily available hand sanitizer, and use of the TousAntiCovid contact-tracing app.
Despite the reduced number of attendees, it was truly a pleasure to once again welcome into our offices representatives from some of the NGOs, associations, organizations, and schools we support. And don’t worry — we saw the smiles even through your masks!
