On October 31, 2019 at 5 p.m. Pacific (November 1 at midnight UTC), Neustar, the registry for .biz is raising the price on .biz domains by 10%.
That means, starting on that date, all new .biz domains, all .biz domain renewals, and all .biz domain transfers will cost more.
This price increase is not limited to any particular registrars, but impacts all domain name registrars that sell .biz domains. In these instances, Gandi simply passes on the price increase, though we are sensitive to the negative impact this may have on your domain name budget. If you already have a .biz domain name, we would encourage you to renew it before 5 p.m. Pacific on October 31 for the maximum feasible period (there is a ten year maximum) so that you would pay only $20.49* per year rather than the new price of $22.54* per year.
Now is also the time to buy a new .biz domain if you are on the market for one, while the prices are still low.
