Google Registry launches its new extension: .channel
The new Google Registry extension, .channel, is continuing its launch phase. This new TLD is presented by the registry as an opportunity to develop the online presence and monetization solutions for publishers on video platforms.
The .channel is therefore aimed above all at content creators. Google Registry hopes to convince Youtube’s main users to extend their online presence to a domain name that echoes their activity as a publisher.
Domain name creators have until February 3rd 2025 to express their interest in the domain name they wish to register. From February 4th, the Early Access Phase (EAP) will begin, allowing the most popular domain names to be registered at decreasing prices each day. At the end of the EAP, from February 11th, .channel will be generally available and accessible to everyone at a single price.
