Transfers of .com and .net domains for $7.50

On this sad day for elephants around the world, we have decided to prolong our .COM and .NET domain name transfer promo until April 30th 2011. During this promo, transfers of these extensions are $7.50 (£5, or €6) excl. VAT in all price rates.

We would like to remind you that Gandi is an active supporter of the WWF association.

During the transfer of .COM and .NET domains, you need to:

    * unlock your domain at your current provider
    * get the domain’s authorization code from your current provider
    * go to Gandi’s transfer interface in order to launch the transfer with your auth code
    * reply to the confirmation emails that are sent to you
    * wait about 5 days until your current provider releases the domain

During the transfer, you will have the possibility of choosing your contacts (including the owner), to choose new DNS, or to keep the existing DNS.

A .COM or .NET transfer adds one year to the current expiration date of your domain name.
