Today, we’re proud to share a step forward with our friends in the diverse communities represented by a new TLD (a place to put your hope, if you will): .LGBT.

Whether you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, an ally–or a business targeting them–.lgbt will be what you make of it. We hope to see this new online space flourish as a new and powerful way for people to connect. We’re proud to offer domain names in this extension and help create a safe place online to support, discuss, promote and celebrate LGBTQ interests, causes and communities.

That being said, the introduction of .lgbt, managed by the Afilias registry, has not been without controversy. We’ll be following this story as it plays out and counting on your feedback to guide us.
