The Gandi Community Updates and releases

The grand opening of Taipei’s biggest WordPress event—WordCamp will be on this Saturday!

Gandi is proud to be a sponsor of WordCamp 2019, which will be held in Taipei, Taiwan on December 28. The Gandi Asia team will have a booth there to meet you face-to-face, and two Gandians will be also there as volunteers. Don’t hesitate to come and say hi to us!

What is WordCamp?

WordPress is an open source CMS (Content Management System) software that anyone can use. It has four core principles, all related to being “free”: free to download, free to use, free to change or modify and free to distribute. Read more here: https://news.gandi.net/en/2019/10/what-is-wordpress/

The first WordCamp was organized by Matt Mullenweg in San Francisco in 2006. Since then, the WordPress community has been contributing to WordCamp and has held this event in over 65 countries and 74 cities.

WordCamp Taipei

In 2016, the WordPress meetup in Taipei was held at the Gandi.net office. All of these meetups have laid a strong foundation for the Taiwan WordPress community. WordCamp Taipei 2018, with the help of mentors from Japan WordPress community, was a successful conference event.

This year, WordCamp Taipei will be happening again on December 28, offering people from all over the world a great platform to share and learn something new!
