Amazon Registry Launches 3 New Extensions : .free, .hot and .spot

Three new extensions are about to be launched by Amazon Registry. Reservations for .free, .hot, and .spot domain names will begin on April 2, 2025. These extensions present a valuable opportunity to enhance your brand’s online visibility and presence.

These new tools are designed to meet specific needs:

• .free offers businesses the opportunity to offer free products, services, and content while attracting website traffic.
• .hot enables you to showcase the latest news, new products, and short-term promotions.
• .spot associates a brand, products, and services with a specific location, such as a physical store.

The launch of these three new extensions will follow the following schedule:

• SUNRISE – from April 2nd to May 2, 2025: phase reserved for trademarks registered with the TMCH
• EARLY ACCESS (EAG) – from May 12th to 17th, 2025: auction decreasing each day
• GENERAL AVAILABILITY – from May 19th, 2025

Amazon registry continues to offer new gTLDs for relatively specific uses. The registry launched .deal and .now in 2024, and .bot in 2023.
